When people smoke knowing the proven high risk of death & disease they go into reverse lottery & say it won’t be me. As with any addiction (yes smokers are addicts) people make excuses until at a much younger age than they should be they are on their death bed telling everyone don’t do it, I wished I’d stopped. The data clearly shows that the probability of a premature death clearly increases based on a number of factors, one of the most significant being smoking.

Whilst there may be cases where people smoke all their lives and live healthily till 100, they are outliers and represent a very small minority. Smoking should be discouraged at every turn but of people desire to smoke, they should be allowed to smoke in their own homes where only they and their families are affected and the sale-ability of their smokey home. Two months ago we had a UFO Area 51 Sep 2019 Teacher runner shirt in with a drugs talk. She told her story about how she had no idea her son was taking recreational drugs. Sadly it killed him she was in tears and the day of the talk was her sons birthday x shock tactics and graphic real-life stories are how we will get the dangers across to youngsters but there will always be those few who will not listen x if you want to stop a harmful habit like smoking simply ban it from being sold.
